Shabbos & Yom Tov

Built around Shabbos, not bolted on.

Every rule below runs on Israel time, for every family and every business on the platform.

Nothing happens on Shabbos or Yom Tov

  • No activity is scheduled on Shabbos or Yom Tov. Those days show in the planner as calm, locked days.
  • Checkout pauses from candle lighting until after tzeis. Your trip is saved and you can pay after Shabbos.
  • No card is charged and no booking is sent to a business inside that window.
  • Messages to you and to businesses — e-mail, WhatsApp, SMS — wait and go out after Shabbos or Yom Tov ends.
  • A short notice at the top of the site says so while it is Shabbos or Yom Tov in Israel.

Yom Tov Sheni

Most visiting families keep two days of Yom Tov. That is the default: the second day is locked too, with candle lighting shown on the evening before. If your family keeps one day in Israel, change it in our standards, and the planner and zmanim follow.

The platform itself always keeps the stricter reading, so nothing is charged or sent on either day.

Cancellation deadlines move before candle lighting

If a free-cancellation deadline would fall on Shabbos or Yom Tov, it moves earlier, to candle lighting before it — so you never need to act on Shabbos to keep your money. The cart and your Trip Wallet show the moved deadline in Israel time and in your own time zone.

Zmanim and minyanim

Each day shows netz, sof zman Shema (by your shitah), mincha gedola, candle lighting or shkia, and tzeis for where you are staying. The planner places Shacharis, Mincha and Maariv near your stops in your nusach and warns you when a plan runs too close to shkia.

For businesses

Booking requests, reminders and payouts never arrive on Shabbos or Yom Tov. Anything that would have gone out on Shabbos waits for you until after it ends.
